Roasted Pears in Chianti

7 Bosc Pears
1 3/4 Cup Chianti wine
1 3/4 Cup Sugar
1 3/4 cup Honey
parmesan cheese Shaved
 

Trim the bottom of the pears so they stand upright. Place in a roasting pan. Pour the wine and sugar into the pan at the base of the pears. Roast in a 400 degree oven for about 30 minutes. Remove pears. Strain liquid. Place pear on plate and drizzle with wine sauce and honey. Garnish with cheese. This is delicious warm or at room temperature.
