What lovely ideas! And appetising photos. I love those small lilac artichokes, so good grilled, but I hadn't thought of the garlic/lemon combination.

i love artichokes too.i've always thought of them as fussy but you make it sound simple.

I eat artichokes almost every day when in season..
There are price wars on the corner 4-5 for a dollar
But I've never seen purple ones or long stems on the East coast :(
Only in Italy and France...
So nice to paint with the long stems..
