I just want to say good luck on cooking your way through that book! It is going to be the challenge of all time finding the ingredients. When you find something wierd, be sure to tell me where!

wow, that looks great! I might have to make that for the family. In fact, I've got 2 fennel bulbs in the fridge right now!
I think you have connected with Jamie, the fact that you met him and he was so nice to you really makes a difference.....he just isn't a stranger, he is kinda' like a friend. Make sense?

Brilliant! I've been waiting for someone (real that is) to review Jamie's Italy. I'll definitely be following your adventures in this. How fun! Thanks!

Hi!
I absolutely recommend it. One thing I want to mention is that since you follow the basic white risotto recipe and then pick up the risotto ai finocchi recipe in the middle, you might wonder if you should add the garlic that is listed in both of the ingredients lists. The answer is Yes! It was such a mild and beautiful risotto. I hope your family likes it!
And yea, I guess Jamie is sort of like a friend, even though he'd definitely not recognize me in the street. But he would remember that I brought him some family recipes, that is a solid connection. So it is possible that I occupy a molecule in his very gifted brain. It's a cheerful thought.
Finally, did I mention that you should buy this book?! It is the best cookbook I own, second to none. I page lovingly through it every day.
Thanks for writing.
Bon appétit!

It looks delicious. I already tried risotto bianco and risotto bianco con pesto from Jamie's book. I like all his books, but Jamie's Italy is special book. It reminds me of many lovely holidays in Italy. Tomorrow I will cook the Spaghetti Tetrazzini from the new book.
