It probably seems that I've dropped into a black hole, but I am in fact in the U.S. -- the past two weeks were a whirlwind, with my brother getting married on September 9, and then a trip to Virginia. I have been sans i-net ... sans i-net but still cooking. The first day after I arrived, I cooked a meal for 20 people. I know! I'm insane and a masochist. What can I say. It all turned out well, except for my whole lemon and almond cake -- people were compelled to taste it though,(often resulting in a "mmm! interesting!"), and it was heavily photographed. This is what happens when you try to "remember" a recipe you saw a chef make on a cooking show.
