Wir sind M�nchener! (We're Munichers!)
Sorry for the lapse in blogging! I've only had Internet in the new place since this morning.
The move is finally over and we've been transplanted with all of our belongings to our cozy apartment here in Munich. By "cozy" I also mean 30 sq meters smaller than the last apartment ... hence, we're overcome by piles of boxes and nowhere to put their contents! I've been digging through boxes just to locate cups or plates.
Last night I managed to find the food processor and whip up a batch of hummus ... other than that it's been simple livin -- loaf of bread, bottle of wine, etc. It feels like a luxury to have Internet (we're still trying to locate our phone).
Now we are setting out to find the local stuff -- a larger grocery store where we can buy all the essentials, a gardening store, etc. I've already located a good outdoor vegetable market in the area and was tempted by the bunches of baerlauch (garlicky tasting/smelling herb). I have to be careful because things are more expensive here and we still have to hit IKEA for a kitchen workspace.
So, I'm back! I'll try to keep up with my blogging in the midst of furniture rebuilding and unpacking of boxes. Have a good weekend everyone!
