The English Shop
The English Shop is an online shop where the English and Americans living in Germany can buy products "from home". As sad as it is, I suspect some poor souls are forking over 8 Euro ($10.59) for a box of Cheerios. You can get your Bacos, your Jif, your Jolly Time, and even cans of Libby's Pumpkin (so no one has to lug cans of it over in their suitcases for me anymore!). All for a price. I don't know about you, but I don't care how much I like peanut butter ... I'm not paying $9.26 for a bottle of Jif! Although, that Bisquick for $4.89 is looking mighty tempting.
And the Brits....what are you eating over there!?

By far, the biggest selection for Brits is under "Crisps and Confectionary", i.e chips. I know how much you must be missing your "Walker's Sensation Roast Lamb and Mint chips, or the Walker's Roast Chicken chips (do they really taste like chicken?? why not make some chicken instead?).
It's blood money I tell you. You start looking at the jelly beans and the bubble yum and the strawberry Fluff, and before you know it, you're whipping out your credit card in a trance.
THIS will snap you right out of it though:

*shudder*

hi mia!

it's not only the prices, but the shipping costs!

I know! Imagine the money one could make by offering a low-cost shipping solution for products going to/from europe to/from the u.s, the south-pacific, and a few other key locations where expats live. One would only need to set up a few strategic bases, ship palettes cheaply by sea, and open up shop on the internet. Then Santos could have her Twiglets (and Marmite) at a reasonable cost.

I'm not sure what, if any, American foods I'd miss overseas, but I'll tell you what -- if there was an Australian Shop somewhere in California, I'd pay hella cash for some Tim-Tams:

On second thought, if I actually can procure these here, please don't tell me. The last thing I need right now is eight boxes of Tim Tams sitting around the house.
