Nice egg

I had the nicest little soft-boiled egg with bread fingers today.
The bread is dark brown and has kernels of wheat and corn baked into it.
Good bread.

But I have a dilemma about my easter menu. After thinking about the Poached Oysters with Beet Mignonnette, I thought -- how does someone sit down with a glass of champagne and enjoy one poached oyster?
I think that's more of a standing around thing instead of a dinner table thing. Maybe I can get a few more and serve it on a tray in the living room after people arrive. I foresee problems there -- one, they should be served on ice and no one sells crushed ice here. And I don't want to spend the next two days making ice.

I wanted to premiere my amuse-bouche idea so I was going for a little sit-down bite. I'm thinking about an original recipe, maybe fresh sauteed artichoke hearts (a lot of work tho) or something unique with plums. Whatever I come up with, I want it to be a blurb about the rest of the meal. Coming attraction, so to speak.
If I think of something good, I'll post -- hopefully someone is reading this ! :)
